Use help

Open help

You can open the help window by pressing F1, using the Help menu, or by entering a key word in the Search Help box in Sage 200.

F1

Press F1 to display help about the window you have open.

Help menu

Search for help on > Sage 200 opens the help.

Sage on the Web opens the Sage website.

About Sage 200 displays information about your Sage 200 version and serial number.

Search Help box Use the Search Help box on the Sage 200 toolbar to search for a word or phrase in the help.

Navigate around help

You can navigate help in a number of ways.

Contents Use the Contents pane to browse for a help topic.
  • Click to display the contents pane (if it is not displayed already).
  • Click to see what is in a section of help.
  • Click to read help for a topic.
  • Click to close the contents and view more of the help topic.
Search

Use the help Search box to find a word or phrase contained in the text .

  • Enter a word or phrase.
  • Select from the All Files drop-down which area of the program you want to search in, or leave it set to All Files to search all help.
  • Click to search.

Search results are displayed in order of relevance.

Use the help toolbar

Print the topic.

Expand or collapse all expanding and drop-down text.

Note: Drop down text in a topic is indicated by when it is not expanded and when it is expanded.

Go to the previous topic in the table of contents.

Go to the next topic in the table of contents.

Note: Use the browser forward and back buttons to move between topics you have just been browsing.

Use the links shown on topics

Topics will show links for related topics, for example, topics that describe in detail the steps undertaken in a task or reference topics.
